MASS READING OF SATURDAY OF 27TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR C(1) ON 11TH OCTOBER 2025 ANNO DOMINI
In the FIRST READING, Prophet Joel announced the Judgement Day/Place and called all peoples and nations to gather for GOD’S JUDGEMENT.
He proclaimed GOD’S Judgement/Salvation for Israel and the righteous and the destruction for the wicked.
The PSALM, announced the justice of GOD and HIS GLORY GOD PROMISED the Righteous in Zion in the FIRST READING – “REJOICE IN THE LORD, YOU JUST”.
This JUSTICE/GLORY OF GOD is not restricted only to/in Jerusalem. Many Islands/all peoples shall rejoice /see the Glories of GOD thereby making the SALVATION GOD PROMISED the Jews through Prophet Joel only a prefigurement of the global/universal SALVATION GOD WROUGHT THROUGH CHRIST for all mankind.
In the GOSPEL ACCLAMATION, The Holy Mother CHURCH admonishes all mankind the only way to be part of this SALVATION – “BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HEAR THE WORD OF GOD AND KEEP IT”.
This reiterated the position of those who merited the Salvation promised in the FIRST READING as presented in the PSALM – “REJOICE IN THE LORD, YOU JUST”.
In the GOSPEL, CHRIST CLARIFIED all mankind the first/only humanbeing who heard the WORD OF GOD and kept HIM and THAT WORD TOOK FLESH in her and BECAME MAN AND DWELT among us.
Many misconstrue that CHRIST NEVER HONORED HIS Mother – The Blessed Virgin Mother of GOD while on earth.
Interestingly, all the encounters they mistaken to mean a neglect of HIS Blessed Virgin Mother are all opportunities of ETERNAL PRAISE/EXAMPLE HE GAVE to her.
CHRIST’S RESPONSE to the woman in the GOSPEL – “BLESSED RATHER ARE THOSE WHO HEAR THE WORD OF GOD AND KEEP IT”, was never a neglect of her being/role in human SALVATION which that woman, cognizant of CHRIS’S MAJESTIC WORKS, did not only praise CHRIST but the Blessed Mother that BORE HIM.
CHRIST’S RESPONSE MEANT SO MANY THINGS – “BLESSED RATHER ARE THOSE WHO HEAR THE WORD OF GOD AND KEEP IT”.
1. HIS RESPONSE VALIDATES the woman’s praise. The woman’s praise was just a mere human praise but CHRIST’S GAVE HIS MOTHER AN ETERNAL PRAISE IN COLLABORATION/COALESCENCE OF THE BLESSED TRINITY WHO PRAISES her and from where the CHURCH drew the Praise she gives the Blessed Mother of the SAVIOR – The Hyperdulia.
2. CHRIST’S RESPONSE WAS TO POINT to HIS Disciples and indeed, all mankind, including the woman that His VIRGIN MOTHER became HIS MOTHER because she heard GOD’S WORD and kept HIM.
The Blessed PARADIGM OF OBEDIENCE is the only human being who heard GOD’S WORD OF LOVE and kept HIM.
From Eve to Abraham/Sarah to this day, no one has heard GOD’S WORD and kept HIM. Even St Peter the Head of the CHURCH.
3. CHRIST WANTS both HIS CHURCH and all mankind – the teeming crowds who represented all mankind and those of us and future generations who read CHRIS’S RESPONSE now/in future to learn from her example how to obey GOD’S ETERNAL WORD OF LOVE/ETERNAL LOVE.
THE LESSON FOR THE DAY
In TODAY’S LITURGIES, the HOLY MOTHER teaches all mankind that the SALVATION PROMISED in Judaism/the Jews are meant for all mankind and was only debuted/ foreshadowed in Judaism/the Jews but is now accomplished in CHRISTIANITY THROUGH CHRIST JESUS BORN by the Virgin Mary whom HE HAS SET AS AN EXAMPLE OF LOVE (OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WILL) to all mankind.
In TODAYS EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATIONS, CHRIST JESUS HIMSELF OFFERS all mankind HIS OWN MOTHER to honor/emulate as THE PERFECT EXAMPLE of WORSHIP (OBEDIENCE) TO GOD.
Subtle Distortions
The honor (hyperdulia) due to the PARADIGM OF OBEDIENCE has surprisingly turned to pray-for-us-syndrome. Think about it!
